To strengthen our capacity for preventing and controlling foreign-related economic and trade risks, better handle cross-border trade disputes and support steady expansion into overseas markets, our company attended the special seminar of China Arbitration Week in Zhangqiu, Jinan themed *Dispute Resolution in Cross-border Economic and Trade Cooperation* under the campaign “Baimai Sets Sail · CCPIT Takes the Lead” on September 9.
Hosted by CIETAC Shandong Sub-Commission and CCPIT Jinan Sub-Council, the seminar focused on key foreign trade sectors including cross-border trade, overseas investment and international engineering. More than 130 participants from over 80 foreign trade enterprises in the district and relevant government departments took part in the event.
Authoritative experts in international arbitration delivered keynote sharing at the seminar. Ms. Wang Wenying, arbitrator, interpreted diversified approaches to cross-border dispute resolution combining arbitration practices in mainland China and Hong Kong. She broke down differences between arbitration systems and practical skills for handling foreign-related disputes. Mr. Tan Yueqi, foreign-related lawyer and arbitrator, analyzed legal risks throughout the whole foreign trade process based on abundant real cases of foreign-related contract disputes. He illustrated full-chain arbitration strategies covering pre-incident risk prevention, in-incident response and post-incident rights protection. The sharing was practical and insightful with both theoretical depth and implementable value.
